How do I track the delivery of an email?

This feature allows you to monitor the status of email messages sent from your account and trace their delivery route. Here’s how to use it:

  1. Log in to cPanel:

    • Access your cPanel account using your credentials.
  2. Navigate to Track Delivery:

    • Click on the Track Delivery icon under the Email section.
  3. Search for Specific Email Addresses:

    • In the Recipient Email (optional) text box, you can filter the delivery report results to a specific email address.
    • To do this:
      • Enter the desired email address.
      • Click Run Report.
    • The system will display results only for the recipient email address, along with an Email Address Trace diagram.
    • To reset the report and view all email messages, remove the email address from the text box and click Run Report.
  4. Filter the Results:

    • You have two options to filter the results:
      • Show Blocked & Failed:
        • Displays only delivery failures.
      • Show All:
        • Shows all deliveries, including successes, deferred messages, and those in progress.
  5. Delivery Report Warning:

    • If your server uses third-party mail services (such as MailScanner), the results may be invalid.
    • If your hosting provider hasn’t enabled this feature, the interface will show an empty table.
    • If you encounter issues, contact your hosting provider for more information about your server’s configuration.
  6. Table Details:

    • The table lists the 250 most recent messages to and from your cPanel account’s mailboxes.
    • It includes both delivery successes and failures.
    • The columns provide information on the message’s delivery status:
      • Event Icons:
  • Email, Track, Delivery, cPanel
